Con motivo del 29º Festival del Orgullo de Budapest, las Embajadas e institutos culturales firmantes expresamos nuestro pleno apoyo a los miembros de la comunidad lesbiana, gay, bisexual, transgénero, queer e intersexual (LGBTQI+) en Hungría y sus derechos, entre otros, a la igualdad y no discriminación, libertad de expresión y reunión pacífica, y a vivir libres de violencia. El respeto al estado de derecho y los derechos humanos universales son los cimientos sobre los que se construyen los Estados democráticos. El derecho internacional de los derechos humanos se basa en la amplia premisa de que todos los individuos tienen los mismos derechos y libertades sin discriminación.
Rechazamos y condenamos todos los actos de violencia, discursos de odio, acoso, estigmatización y discriminación cometidos contra individuos y comunidades debido a su orientación sexual, identidad o expresión de género, o características sexuales, y apoyamos la lucha contra dichos actos. En este sentido, nos preocupa seriamente la reciente aplicación de legislación y retórica política, incluyendo en Hungría, que está en tensión con los principios de no discriminación, el derecho internacional de los derechos humanos y la dignidad humana, y que contribuyen a la estigmatización de la comunidad LGBTQI+. Esto incluye intentos políticamente motivados de atacar a las personas LGBTQI+, sus familias y las representaciones de personas LGBTQI+ en libros, instituciones culturales y en los medios de comunicación. Destacamos la necesidad de que los líderes y gobiernos, aquí y en otros lugares, muestren respeto y protejan los derechos de las comunidades e individuos LGBTQI+, y eliminen leyes, prácticas y políticas que los discriminen.
Enfatizamos la inviolabilidad del derecho internacional de los derechos humanos, la dignidad humana, el derecho a la libertad de expresión e información, el derecho a la vida privada y familiar y el derecho a la no discriminación para todos. Subrayamos la necesidad de garantizar entornos regulatorios de apoyo que mantengan y protejan los derechos humanos de las personas LGBTQI+. Destacamos la importancia del acceso a información diversa y plural, la representación de las personas LGBTQI+ y su plena participación en los ámbitos público, cultural y en línea.
Además, saludamos la importante labor de los defensores de los derechos de las personas LGBTQI+ realizada por activistas, periodistas, trabajadores de los medios de comunicación y organizaciones de la sociedad civil que trabajan para garantizar que todas las personas, independientemente de su orientación sexual, identidad o expresión de género, o características sexuales, reciban un trato igualitario y la plena protección de la ley.
Celebrar la diversidad es una forma importante de promover el respeto por los derechos humanos para todos. El Orgullo de Budapest tiene la historia más larga de este tipo de eventos en la región, y destacamos su papel en la promoción de la igualdad de trato y la aceptación social de todas las personas LGBTQI+, y su contribución a la creación de una sociedad más abierta, justa, inclusiva e igualitaria.

On the occasion of the 29th Budapest Pride Festival, we the undersigned embassies and cultural institutes express our full support for members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI+) community in Hungary and their rights to equality and non-discrimination, freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, and freedom from violence, among others. Respect for the rule of law and universal human rights are the foundations upon which democratic states are built. International human rights law is grounded on the broad premise that all individuals have the same rights and freedoms without discrimination.
We reject and condemn all acts of violence, hate speech, harassment, stigmatization and discrimination committed against individuals and communities on the basis of their sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or sex characteristics and support the fight against such acts. In this regard, we are seriously concerned with the recent application of legislation and political rhetoric, including in Hungary, that is in tension with principles of non-discrimination, international human rights law and human dignity, and contributes to stigmatization of the LGBTQI+ community. This includes politically motivated efforts to target LGBTQI+ persons, their families, and depictions of LGBTQI+ persons in books, cultural institutions, and in the media. We stress the need for leaders and governments, here and elsewhere, to show respect for and protect the rights of LGBTQI+ communities and individuals, and to eliminate laws, practices, and policies that discriminate against them.
We stress the inviolability of international human rights law, human dignity, the right to freedom of expression and information, the right to private and family life, and the right to non-discrimination for all. We underline the need to ensure supportive regulatory environments that uphold and protect the human rights of LGBTQI+ people. We emphasize the importance of access to diverse and pluralistic information, the representation of LGBTQI+ people, and their full participation in public, cultural, and online spheres.
Furthermore, we welcome the important advocacy of LGBTQI+ human rights defenders, activists, journalists, media workers and civil society organizations working to ensure that all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or sex characteristics, receive equal treatment and the full protection of the law.
Celebrating diversity is an important way to promote respect for human rights for all. Budapest Pride has the longest history of such events in the region, and we highlight its role in promoting equality of treatment and social acceptance for all LGBTQI+ persons, and contributing to the creation of a more open, just, inclusive and equal society.

A 29. Budapest Pride Fesztivál alkalmából mi, az alulírott nagykövetségek és kulturális intézetek, teljes támogatásunkról biztosítjuk a magyarországi leszbikus, meleg, biszexuális, transznemű, queer és interszex (LMBTQI+) közösség tagjait, és teljes mértékben kiállunk amellett, hogy megilleti őket a jog – egyebek mellett – az egyenlőséghez, a megkülönböztetéstől mentes bánásmódhoz, a véleménynyilvánítás és békés gyülekezés szabadságához és az erőszaktól való mentességhez. A demokratikus államok a jogállamiság és az egyetemes emberi jogok tiszteletén alapulnak. Az emberi jogokra vonatkozó nemzetközi jog azon a tág előfeltevésen alapul, hogy minden embert azonos jogok és szabadságok illetnek meg, diszkrimináció nélkül.
Elutasítunk és elítélünk minden erőszakos cselekményt, gyűlöletbeszédet, zaklatást, megbélyegzést és diszkriminációt, amely egyének és közösségek ellen szexuális irányultságuk, nemi identitásuk, nemi önkifejezésük vagy nemi jellemzőik alapján irányul, és támogatjuk az ilyen cselekményekkel szembeni küzdelmet. Ebben a tekintetben komoly aggodalommal tölt el minket minden olyan újabb, Magyarországra is jellemző jogszabály-alkalmazás és politikai retorika, amely nincsen összhangban a megkülönböztetésmentességnek, a nemzetközi emberi jognak és az emberi méltóságnak az alapelveivel, és hozzájárul az LMBTQI+ közösség megbélyegzéséhez. Ide tartoznak azok a politikai indíttatású törekvések, amelyek az LMBTQI+ személyeket és családtagjaikat, illetve az LMBTQI+ személyek könyvekben, kulturális intézményekben és a médiában való megjelenítését veszik célba. Ki kívánjuk hangsúlyozni, hogy itt is és máshol is fontos, hogy a vezetők és a kormányok tisztelettel viseltessenek az LMBTQI+ közösség és az LMBTQI+ személyek iránt, megvédjék az ebbe a közösségbe tartozók jogait, és felszámolják a velük szemben diszkriminatív törvényeket, gyakorlatokat és politikákat.
Kihangsúlyozzuk a nemzetközi emberi jognak, az emberi méltóságnak, a véleménynyilvánítás és tájékozódás szabadságának, a magán- és családi élethez való jognak és a megkülönböztetéstől mentes bánásmódhoz való jognak a sérthetetlenségét minden ember esetén. Kiemeljük az olyan támogató szabályozói környezet biztosításának fontosságát, amely fenntartja és védi az LMBTQI+ személyek emberi jogait. Kihangsúlyozzuk a sokféle és sokoldalú tájékoztatáshoz való hozzáférésnek, az LMBTQI+ személyek reprezentációjának és a közéletben, kulturális életben és az online térben való teljes körű részvételének fontosságát.
Emellett örömmel üdvözöljük az LMBTQI+ személyek emberi jogait védelmezők és az aktivisták, újságírók, médiamunkások és civil szervezetek fontos érdekvédelmi tevékenységét, amellyel mindenki számára biztosítani kívánják az egyenlő bánásmódot és a törvények által nyújtott teljes körű védelmet, szexuális irányultságra, nemi identitásra, nemi önkifejezésre vagy nemi jellemzőkre való tekintet nélkül.
A sokféleség ünneplése fontos módja annak, hogy előmozdítsuk mindenki emberi jogainak tiszteletben tartását. A régióban a hasonló események közül a Budapest Pride tekint vissza a legnagyobb múltra, így szeretnénk kihangsúlyozni a rendezvény szerepét az LMBTQI+ személyekkel kapcsolatban tanúsított egyenlő bánásmód és társadalmi elfogadás előremozdításában, és érdemeit egy nyitottabb, igazságosabb, befogadóbb és egyenlőbb társadalom létrehozásában.
