To apply at this Consulate General you must be a RESIDENT, (students must have been in Australia for a minimum of one year to apply) and reside in New South Wales, Queensland or Northern Territory.
Each application must include:
1. Passport with a validity of at least 6 months, and at least one blank page plus 1 photocopy of the details page of the passport and photocopy of the valid Australian or New Zealand residency visa.
2. One visa application form, duly completed.
3. One passport size colour photograph on a light coloured background, this must be glued (not stapled) to the visa application form on the top right hand corner. Photographs must be printed on quality photographic paper.
4. Copy of tickets with confirmed return flights (sub-load/standby tickets must be accompanied by letters from the airline stating employment/relationship of passenger and approximate dates of entry/exit. Open tickets are not acceptable).
5. Guarantee of admission in the country of final destination after the transit.
6. A letter from employer/college including the dates of return to your employment/studies.
7. Proof of funds; i.e. Bank statement (minimum of $853.00 for 1 to 9 days + $95.00 AUD per day over), and/or proof of payment of accommodation.Those who have been invited by a family/friend in Spain must provide an official invitation issued by the Police in Spain.
8. Travel insurance policy for the duration of the stay covering medical costs and repatriation associated with an accident or sudden illness.
9. A non-refundable visa fee in Australian dollars. Payment is accepted by money order. Without this payment a visa will not be processed. Money Orders to be made payable to: Consulate General of Spain.
