FOR STAYS LESS THAN 180 DAYS
To apply:
- Forward complete application by post, including original passport and visa fee.
- Once it is received and there are no missing documents the visa will be processed, and our Central authorities in Spain will make a decision on the application
- Upon a decision being made the applicant must collect their passport in person from our office
Requirements
- Application form duly completed and signed
- 1 passport sized photograph
- Passport valid for a minimum of the duration of your contract.
- Evidence of place of residence in Australia (e.g. drivers licence)
- Document that provides evidence of the work or professional relationship with the contracting company.
- Evidence of the production in the audio-visual sector or artistic performance, which will be recorded for the masses. This document must show the duration of the event/s and must not exceed 180 days.
- A non-refundable visa fee in Australian dollars. Payment is accepted by money order. Without this payment a visa will not be processed. Money Orders to be made payable to: Consulate General of Spain. For updated visa fees please forward an email with the following information: Full Name as it appears on your passport and Country of Passport and type of visa you are applying for: cog.sydney.vis@maec.es
- Comprehensive Private health insurance
- Declaration by employing company that they up to date with Social Security obligations.
For family members over the age of 18 all of the above together with a copy of their birth certificate, marriage certificate or registered relationship certificate.
The processing time is 10 days.

- Copy of Approved Work Offer for non-resident employees (RESOLUCION de autorización de residencia para profesionales altamente cualificados) ie., standard form presented by employer to the spanish authorities residency in Spain
- Police clearance certificate for applicants over the age of 18. Stamped with the Apostille of The Hague (through DFAT) and officially translated into Spanish
- A non-refundable visa fee in Australian dollars. Payment is accepted by money order. Without this payment a visa will not be processed. - Accompanying children under 18 years old the non-refundable visa fee is: $660.00 AUD.
