VIAJES A ESPAÑA CON MEDICAMENTOS PRESCRITOS – NOTA INFORMATIVA
De acuerdo con el artículo 74 del Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2015, de 24 de julio, por el que se aprueba el texto refundido de la Ley de garantías y uso racional de los medicamentos y productos sanitarios, los viajeros (españoles o no) que entren en España procedentes de cualquier país extranjero, salvo de cualquier país miembro del Espacio Schengen, con medicamentos que contengan sustancias estupefacientes y/o psicotrópicas sometidas a fiscalización internacional, deberán solicitar, antes del viaje, el correspondiente permiso de entrada.
Únicamente podrá entrar en España MEDICACIÓN PERSONAL PREVIAMENTE PRESCRITA EN EL MARCO DE UN TRATAMIENTO MÉDICO.
La solicitud deberá realizarse EXCLUSIVA Y DIRECTAMENTE ante la Área de Estupefacientes y Psicótropos de la Agencia Española de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios del Ministerio español de Sanidad, ÚNICAMENTE por correo electrónico a estupefacientes@eamps.es, y deberá contener la siguiente documentación en FORMATO PDF:
1- Solicitud cumplimentada y firmada según modelo adjunto. Incluye nota informativa formato pdf para ser impresa.

2- Certificado o informe médico actualizado, firmado y sellado convenientemente, en el que consten los datos de identificación del médico (nombre y apellidos, número de colegiado, dirección y teléfono propios o del centro médico), la enfermedad que padece el interesado, el tratamiento y las dosis diaria prescrita.
3- Receta médica original actual (entendiéndose por “actual" aquella receta que va a utilizarse para obtener en la farmacia los envases de medicación que pretende transportar).
4- copia del pasaporte o documento de viaje (y en su caso el visado) con el que se prevea viajar a España.
5- Copia de los billetes de avión del viaje.
En ningún caso se autorizará la entrada de medicamento para un tratamiento superior a 30 días, aunque el viaje previsto se prevea de mayor duración. El periodo máximo de validez del certificado eventualmente expedido será de 3 meses, y la fecha límite de validez será la del día siguiente a la fecha prevista de salida de España, excepto si esta supera los 30 días de viaje, en cuyo caso la validez alcanzará únicamente los 30 días siguientes al de partida.
La entrada en España con medicamentos que no contengan sustancias estupefacientes y/o psicotrópicas sometidas a fiscalización internacional no está sujeta a permiso previo, pero deberán en todo caso observarse las normas aduaneras y de control de fronteras en vigor. En caso de medicamentos prescritos, se recomienda viajar a España con la correspondiente receta expedida por el médico.
Para evitar retrasos innecesarios y, en su caso, el archivo del expediente, se ruega encarecidamente se compruebe que se presenta la totalidad de la documentación requerida y en el formato correcto.

TRAVEL TO SPAIN WITH PRESCRIBED MEDICINES – INFORMATION NOTE
In accordance with Article 74 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2015, of July 24, which approves the revised text of the Law on Guarantees and Rational Use of Medicines and Medical Devices, travelers (Spanish citizens or not) entering Spain from any foreign country, except from the Schengen Area, with medications containing narcotic and/or psychotropic substances subject to international control, must apply for the corresponding entry permit before traveling.
Only PERSONAL MEDICATION PREVIOUSLY PRESCRIBED AS PART OF MEDICAL TREATMENT may enter Spain.
The application must be submitted EXCLUSIVELY AND DIRECTLY to the Narcotics and Psychotropic Drugs Department of the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of the Spanish Ministry of Health, ONLY by email a estupefacientes@eamps.es, and must contain the folllowing documentation in PDF format:
- Completed and signed application according to the attached template.
- Updated medical certificate or report, duly signed and stamped, including the physician's identification information (name and surname, license number, address and telephone number of the physician or the medical center), the illness the applicant is suffering from, the treatment, and the prescribed daily dosage.
- Current original medical prescription (a "current" prescription being understood as the one that will be used to obtain the medication containers you intend to transport from the pharmacy).
- Copy of the passport or travel document (and, where applicable, visa) with which you plan to travel to Spain.
- Copy of the plane tickets for the trip.
Under no circumstances will the entry of medication be authorized for treatment lasting more than 30 days, even if the planned trip is expected to be longer. The maximum validity period of any issued certificate will be 3 months, and the expiration date will be the day following the planned departure date from Spain, except if the trip exceeds 30 days, in which case it will only be valid for 30 days following the departure date.
The entry into Spain of medication that does not contain narcotic and/or psychotropic substances subject to international control is not subject to prior authorization, but current customs and border control regulations must always be observed. In the case of prescription medication, it is recommended that travelers travel to Spain with the corresponding prescription issued by a doctor.
To avoid unnecessary delays and, where appropriate, the archiving of your file, please ensure that all required documentation is submitted in the correct format.
