An appointment per person is required. Each visa applicant is not allowed to have more than ONE appointment. If you have more than one, all your appointments will be cancelled.

Visa application
The application must be signed and submitted in person, at the time of the appointment. Our working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm, excluding bank holidays.
Only seamen who are nationals from a country which is required to have a valid visa to enter the Schengen Space need to apply for a transit visa and if they intend to: a) join a ship that is (or will be) in a Schengen port, b) land with the aim of join another ship that is (or will arrive) in a Schengen port, or c) land due to sickness, repatriation, holiday and so on.
The requirements to apply for a seamen visa are different depending on the flag of the ship.
Required documents
1. One application form duly filled in and signed by the applicant.
2. Photograph. A recent, passport-size, colour photograph, taken against a light background, facing forward, without dark or reflective glasses, or any garments concealing the oval of the face.
Original and one photocopy of each of the following items must be presented:
3. Valid, unexpired passport. Original and a photocopy of the page or pages of the passport that contain biometric data. The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure date from the Schengen territory. It must also contain at least two blank pages. Passports issued more than 10 years ago will not be accepted.
4. Hong Kong or Macau Residence Permit -- Original and photocopy of Hong Kong or Macau ID Card. It must still be valid after returning from Europe. If you are not a permanent HK resident, a valid HK residence visa will also be needed.
5. Seaman's book.
6. Travel Insurance Policy (plus 1 photocopy), The minimum cover is € 30000 (Medical Expenses) including emergency medical evacuation and repatriation of remains. The insurance must be valid throughout all of the Schengen countries and must cover the whole duration of the stay. Please include the details of insurance policy so that we can check whether the insurance fulfils our requirements.
7. Payment of the visa fee (in HK Dollars, by cash or FPS).
8. Letter in Spanish from the inviting Spanish Shipping Company where it must be stated all this information:
- Nombre y apellido del marino,
- Fecha de nacimiento
- Lugar de nacimiento
- Nº de pasaporte
- Fecha de expedición del pasaporte
- Fecha de vigencia del pasaporte
- Empleo del marino en el buque
- Fecha de entrada en España
- Nombre del buque
- Bandera del buque
- Aeropuerto de entrada en España
- Duración de la estancia de los marinos en el buque
- Puerto marítimo de desembarque
- Fecha de regreso al país de origen
- Itinerario que seguirán los marinos para viajar a España
- Itinerario que seguirán los marinos para regresar a Hong Kong / Macao
- Nombre de la agencia hongkonesa para la que trabaja el marino
- Dirección, número de teléfono y dirección de correo electrónico de la agencia de Hong Kong / Macao para la que trabaja el marino
- Recoger expresamente en la carta de invitación que se hará cargo de los marinos a su llegada a España para su traslado al buque correspondiente tanto a su llegada a España como a su regreso a su país de origen en el supuesto de que se realice a través de territorio español.
